India Today

Tibrewal started his career with India Today. He has done many challenging reporting from Indo-Nepal border on burning topics like Maoist activities, Politics, Social Issues, Cross Border Terrorism, Fake Currency business, Human and Drug Trafficking, Arms Smuggling etc.

The Indian Express Group

Later he worked for The Indian Express Group as Bureau Chief in Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh. He covered several stories on various issues such as developmental, political, crime and public interest. He interviewed Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi, during the 2004 Parliamentary elections on 24th April 2004 while Gandhi was campaigning in eastern UP. He then shifted his career towards Electronic media and joined Doordarshan News in New Delhi.

Doordarshan News

Tibrewal's journey with DD News started in January 2006. He has covered several prominent assignments for DD News such as President, Prime Minister, Parliament of India and various Union Ministries including Home, Finance, External Affairs, Defence, Information and Broadcasting etc. He interviewed first Indian Woman President – Pratibha Devisingh Patil – right after her election on 21st July 2007. He has widely travelled domestically and internationally with the President of India, Prime Minster of India and Chief Ministers of various states in their entourage. Apart from doing political reporting, Tibrewal hosted a very popular weekly half-an-hour interview-based Talk Show – Ek Mulaqat continuously for five years. Several Union Cabinet Ministers, Chief Ministers, Governors, Members of Indian Parliament, noted industrialists, Bollywood personalities, sports stars, IAS toppers and social workers have featured in this programme. In August 2015, he decided to discontinue with Doordarshan News.

Tibrewal is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the 24x7 online news channel Dynamite News, which was launched on 16th October 2015.
